Data Security and Privacy Policy for Scitotec GmbH Atlassian Marketplace Apps.

This Data Security and Privacy Policy augments the overall Scitotec GmbH Privacy policy in relation to Scitotec GmbH apps available on the Atlassian Marketplace.

We collectively refer to all of these products, together with our other services as “Services” in this policy. In the following. Each Atlassian App provided by us will be referred as “Service”. Please read this Privacy Policy in their entirety before using the Service.

By utilizing the Service, you expressly acknowledge and accept this Policy.

Overview
The Scitotec GmbH provides Software Products apps that are made available through the Atlassian Marketplace for Atlassian Server products running on clients IT-systems and Atlassian Cloud Products running on third party IT-systems. This Data Security and Privacy Policy will provide you with an overview of the collection and processing of your data in Atlassian Server apps developed by Scitotec GmbH.

Data Security
We maintain technical and organizational measures in order to ensure data security, in particular for the protection of customer personal data.

Data storage
None of our services collect or store any data from your Confluence instance. Any customer data generated by the use of our apps will only be stored in the corresponding Atlassian Server product on the server. Scitotec GmbH has no access to this data. Please see the Atlassian Security practices or the Atlassian Privacy Policy (https://de.atlassian.com/trust/privacy/gdpr) for further information.

Support data
In order to submit support tickets per email as an active or potential customer we will gather the following data. At that time we will store your name (if entered), email address and support details. If the support details should include personal data, please anonymize the data beforehand.

Personal Data Retention
Scitotec GmbH will retain Personal Data for as long as needed to provide the Services to you. Scitotec GmbH will also retain Personal Data as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you wish for your personal information to be removed from the Support Database please contact our support team at info@scitotec.de

Account data
If a customer licenses to one of our products, Atlassian will provide us, in accordance with the Atlassian Privacy Policy (https://de.atlassian.com/trust/privacy/gdpr), license details as well as the name and email address of the customers’ registered Atlassian contact and, if applicable the reseller company. We do not receive, collect, or store any other account or credit card information from Atlassian you provide. Scitotec GmbH uses this data for accounting and support verification purposes.

Usage of acquired user data
We use your contact information to send certain communications via email, including responses to your comments, questions and requests, providing customer support, and sending you technical notices (Release Notes), updates, security alerts, and administrative messages. If you are an individual in the European Economic Area (EEA), we collect and process information about you only where we have legal basis for doing so under applicable EU laws. The legal basis depends on the Services you use and how you use them. This means we collect and use your information only where:

• we need it to provide you with services pertaining to Scitotec GmbH Atlassian Server apps;
• it satisfies a legitimate interest (which is not overridden by your data protection interests), such as for research and development and to market and promote Scitotec GmbH Atlassian Server apps
• you give us consent to do so for a specific purpose; or we need to process your data to comply with a legal obligation.

If you have consented to our use of information about you for a specific purpose, you have the right to change your mind at any time, but this will not affect any processing that has already taken place. Where we are using your information because we or a third party (e.g. your employer) have a legitimate interest to do so, you have the right to object to that use, though, in some cases, this may mean no longer using Scitotec GmbH Alassian Server apps.

Data is held only in Germany.

 

Access to Customer Data
Only authorized Scitotec GmbH employees have access to customer data. We don´t share customer data with third parties at all.
